Six Year-Old Boy Who Taking Care of His Paralyzed Mom

Unbelieveable, but this is a real story. His name is Sinar, which means 'The Light'. He's only a six year old boy, with no siblings or father is around. And he lived with his paralyzed mother. And because his mother was paralyzed while nobody care about her, then he take care of her. This story is came from Polewali, West Sulawesi.





Murni, Sinar's mom, was paralyzed for about two years because of a fall. Since then, her life depends on her child. Eating, drinking, bathing, to go to toilet, she couldn't do all of these without helping hand from Sinar. Cooking rice for his mother was certainly a task for Sinar. Yes, just rice, without any side dish.

Sinar was in first class at primary school. He often late to school because he have to take care of his mother. Sinar is the youngest of six children. Five of his siblings who also immature, lived separate. They become household servants. This had to be done because of economic problems.

While his father had migrate to Malaysia for many years. "He never send a letter," said Murni.

Murni's house in the village of Pure Riso, District Tapango, Polewali Mandar, West Sulawesi, had been busy during the general election. Posters and photographs of legislative candidates are still stuck everywhere. The election is over. Sinar and his mother had forgotten. But Sinar is always right there. He lit up the house.
